Today we shot a few more telegraph concept videos to add to our portfolio.
The difference of old and new technology seems to work for some buyers.

From a shoot today.
Another vintage concept, this time a late 1800’s chemist or scientist.
Remember when Hollywood made films using practical effects instead of digital?
Well, I’m playing around with that.
Shooting the background plate for my WWII pilot standing in the snow waiting for the weather to clear.
The “snow” was sifted flour on a model of a P40 fighter.
And the finished product. Well first version anyway. Still off on me looking like I’m really in the scene.
Edited in After Effects.
The fog and flying snow flakes was also filmed old school.
Fog was my fog machine.
Snow flakes was more flour filmed floating in the air, lit from behind to light them up.
So we’re pretty excited about NAB this year. Going to see the new toys everyone has this year.
I believe drones will once again be the high point. Of course new 4k cameras will be announced. Maybe 6k. Who knows.
One thing on my list to look at is the new Red Raven.
The specs are really great and the price point for the full kit to start shooting is $9500
Pretty inexpensive for a RED it seems.
Nice writeup from No Film school
